Before Your First Appointment

Preparing ahead of time helps your first visit go smoothly and gives us more time to focus on your care. Please complete all necessary new patient paperwork before your appointment. If you are unable to complete it beforehand or need assistance, simply arrive several minutes early and our front desk team will be happy to help.

Please bring the following with you:

  • A valid photo ID
  • Your current insurance card, if applicable
  • A list of medications, supplements, and allergies
  • Records or pathology reports from previous skin biopsies or treatments, if available
  • A list of the skin concerns or questions you would like to discuss

If you are coming in for a full-body skin exam, we recommend arriving without makeup or nail polish so we can examine your skin and nails thoroughly.

What to Expect During Your Visit

During your first visit, we will review your medical history and any previous treatments before discussing your goals. Next, Dr. Marc I. Epstein or a member of his team will perform a physical examination to evaluate your skin and determine what needs to be done to achieve your desired results. Whether you are concerned about acne, a changing mole, rosacea, or skin cancer, we take the time to understand your situation.

Your provider will then discuss treatments, services, or products that target your concerns and work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan. Many of our services can be customized to best suit your individual needs and goals. This is the perfect time to ask questions or voice any concerns.

Cosmetic Consultations

If you are visiting to explore aesthetic treatments such as cosmetic injections, BBL Hero, RF microneedling, or body contouring, your consultation will focus on your goals, skin type, and timeline. We will explain your options, expected results, and any downtime so you can make a confident decision. If you decide to move forward after your consultation, we will schedule your treatment appointment.

Insurance and Payment Options

Many medical dermatology services may be covered by insurance depending on your plan, while cosmetic treatments are typically self-pay.
