WHAT IS PERLANE® DERMAL FILLER?

Perlane dermal filler is made by the same company that makes Restylane® dermal filler. It’s a form of hyaluronic acid (HA) often used for anti-aging facial treatments to reduce or remove wrinkles, lines and folds in the face.

Perlane® is also widely used by physicians to augment the lips, cheeks, chin and jowls. And, it may also help soften the look of sunken eyes.

This form of HA is hydrophilic, meaning that it attracts and holds water well. The characteristic lets Perlane dermal filler last longer and show better results.

As the HA is excreted normally over a period of time, likewise the improvements from a treatment gradually fade.

To maintain the improvements over time, many people choose to have follow up treatments after a period of several months. Under optimal conditions, the improvements may last a year or more.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The hydrophilic, cross-linked HA fills and plumps your skin in areas that need more volume. It fills, smooths and tightens medium-to-severe wrinkles on your face, especially the lines between your nose and mouth.

HOW IS PERLANE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER DERMAL FILLERS?

Perlane is unique because the large size of its gel particles of HA makes it suitable for deep dermal layers where it has the greatest structuring benefit. It is sometimes used to enhance lip volume, and it’s also used to fill general areas under wrinkles.

Perlane® adds fullness to wrinkled areas, so lines and folds soften and may even disappear.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Improvements from Perlane filler may last for a year or longer, depending on your skin’s unique properties and personal metabolism as well as the amount of muscle activity in the treatment area.
