Micro laser peels and Nano Laser Peels use concentrated light energy in order to remove layers of skin at exactly the right depth. At Mountain View Dermatology & Aesthetics, we often use Laser Peels and Nano Peels to achieve better results than chemical peels or microdermabrasion could achieve.
Nano laser peel and micro laser peel technologies are engineered to reach precisely the right areas to be treated. The result is smooth, beautiful skin.
How are laser peels better than chemical peels?
Laser peels are generally more effective than chemical peels for several reasons. First, laser peels are more accurate than chemical peels. These peels can be programmed to remove a specific layer of skin. Nano and laser peels also have less downtime than chemical peels, from 1 to 4 days of some redness and peeling.
In contrast, micro laser peels and nano peels allow us to treat exactly the areas which need help. The lasers remove old, damaged skin cells and revitalizes the layers below, stimulating new growth. As well, laser peels require little or no downtime.
How do micro laser peels and nano peels work?
As mentioned above, lasers allow pinpoint precision and quick treatment of targeted areas. Laser peels can fight the effects of time and aging, including sun damage and environmental exposure. They’re minimually-invasive, so you can return to your normal activities quickly.
We generally use these treatments to erase the signs of aging from your face, neck and hands. It’s also effective for treating acne and other skin blemishes.
The treatment usually takes about thirty minutes. Immediately afterward, your skin may feel tighter and become slightly reddened as well a little brown in color. Peeling of the skin generally begins on about the third day, and it continues for a couple of days. The signs of peeling are easily managed with moisturizing creams.
Usually, within one week you’ll see improvements in your skin tone and firmness, including a more-youthful look and feel. We often combine laser peels with other anti-aging treatments in order to obtain the best results.
What is laser resurfacing?
Laser resurfacing is generally used on the face to reduce wrinkles, blemishes and even acne scars. The treatment uses short, concentrated pulses of laser light to precisely remove the selected damaged areas of skin, layer by layer.
This treatment is helpful for removing or reducing fine wrinkles or lines around the mouth and eyes or on the forehead, as well as shallow acne scars. It relies on any of several kinds of special lasers which can be precisely adjusted to treat only affected areas.
Unlike Micro Laser Peel and Nano Peel, a laser resurfacing will have more downtime about 3 to 7 days. Treatments take about one hour with topical anesthetics and possible some pre medication. These treatments are for more advanced anti-aging and correction of lines, texture and wrinkles.
How does Clear + Brilliant work?
Clear and Brilliant is a diode laser resurfacing treatment which delivers a beam of powerful, precise laser energy to cause sloughing off of damaged skin, leaving you with fresher, healthier skin that glows with youthful beauty and energy.
Each treatment takes between twenty to thirty minutes, depending on the area being treated. You’ll see and feel the results immediately, and experience the radiant, healthy glow of youthful skin. Best of all, there’s little or no downtime – You can return to your normal activities immediately.
Since laser resurfacing treatments are so quick and easy, many of our patients return for repeat Clear and Brilliant treatments with long-lasting results that keep them looking younger. When used together with special topical skin care products, the benefits are even greater.
