Belotero Dermal FAQs

Belotero dermal filler is a popular anti-aging treatment that can reduce moderate-to-severe lines and wrinkles on your face.

Belotero dermal filler is designed to fill in facial lines and wrinkles, so your face becomes smoother and younger-appearing.

It’s is an easy-flowing gel that bonds quickly with facial tissues. It adapts to your skin’s contours, especially around the mouth and nose. It can help your skin become firmer and smoother, yet it remains flexible and natural in appearance.

How long does a Belotero treatment take?
After you meet with the physician to discuss your medical history, current medications, and goals, the treatment session itself takes only about thirty minutes.
Is it painful?
The injections are made using a very small needle. Some people may feel a slight discomfort, yet Belotero and other dermal fillers are available with lidocaine to maximize your comfort.
Are there risks or side effects?
As with any medication, you should consult with a physician before receiving Belotero or other dermal filler treatments. Since Belotero is made with hyaluronic acid, a compound which occurs naturally in the body, an allergic reaction is unlikely.

Still, as with any medication administered by injection, there may be reactions including slight swelling, redness, bruising, itching or pain at the site of injection. Such reactions are usually normal and soon disappear.

Will treated areas become stiff or feel unusual?
Since Belotero assimilates so quickly into your own tissues, you probably won’t be able to feel it after injection. This is especially important for your lips and other sensitive areas, where you’ll see improvements, but without feeling anything different.
Is there any downtime?
Most people return to their normal daily routines immediately after receiving dermal fillers.
How soon will I see results?
You’ll see improvements immediately after treatment. And, since dermal fillers are far less invasive than surgery, you’ll be able to show off the results immediately.
How long do the improvements from Belotero last?
Belotero’s main advantage over other dermal fillers is that its effects are long lasting, although not permanent. How long the improvements last depends on a variety of factors, including the exact type of treatment, your age, and your skin type and condition.

Most people report that the improvements last for 9 to 10 months. Based on the results, most of our patients choose to continue with follow up treatments.

In fact, many people optimize the results by receiving two or three treatments within a few weeks after the initial session. After that, they usually opt for treatments once or twice per year.
